Seth and I went to the Bomfire Bistro last night. They have a small variety of self brewed beers. We tried the Porter and some bown or red one (seth's). I generally like porters, but this one had a funky maple syrupyness to it. It was very sweet. Then I took a sip of Seth's beer. Same syrupy after taste. Not terrible, but just not what either of us were expecting.

I had the Pork Chops, Seth had the Pecan Encrusted Walleye (It was some form of fish). Mine was cooked with a fruit chutney and mashed sweet potatoes, and green beans. My dish was pretty good. Seth's was again, sweet. I didn't expect it to be sweet. So all in all, if you like sweet foods (that are supposed to be savory) you'll love the Bomfire Bistro. All in all it was a bit pricy for what it was. It certainly wasn't anything special. The only thing we got that was really good was the beer & onion soup. It was very good.
