Okay so Angels & Airwaves' LOVE album was released in February, but I'm only now listening to it. BOY IS MY FACE RED. Also, I kinda like it... a lot ( Read more... )

I would rather he work on a new Blink 182 album as well. I mean Angels and Airwaves is pretty good, but the world has been dying for more Blink since 2004. Put the side projects on hold and get to the real shit! :D

Any new Blink stuff is probably just gonna end up being terrible anyway so maybe it's better that they don't do it :(

I was actually thinking when I was listening to the new AVA song "I bet this is about what the new Blink album is gonna sound like". :P

Shooo! shooo! away with your stinky pessimism!

We've got blink182 back together, all's right with the world. My ears can't wait until Spring 2011!

*flushes pessimism down the toilet* X,x

Oh believe me, no matter what I'll be very happy when Blink's new album comes out!

I mean I like AVA and Blink too! I just prefer Blink's older style. But I'll still be pre-ordering the new cd when it's ready! :D

Hey, you can't flush pessimism down the toilet, it's bad for the environment! >:[

You're supposed to recycle it down at your local pessimism recycling plant. They'll give you a nickel for it.

...Back on topic.

Yeah, hopefully it'll be a mixture of Dude Ranch and a bit of what AVA is doing. In fact if it's a bit more nailed down like their last album, that would also be great.

Anything that relates in any way to Dude Ranch would be Heaven... but it seems they've progressed too far away from that sound. They don't even play any songs from Dude Ranch live anymore except for "Dammit", and if we're lucky, "Josie". In fact they have so many singles now, that's all they have time to play. :|

I'll always be a fan, but I know that musicians' tastes change, and so do listeners' ... but I've preferred Dude Ranch since it first came out 12 years ago, and I think I always will.

Still can't wait to see what comes out though. Whatever they put out, it's still better than if they would have quit for good in 2004 like I thought they did. ;)

Oh, and I did download the new AVA cd, which is entirely free on their website. That's pretty damn generous of them. :> Haven't listened to it yet though.

Just don't wait 7 months like I did before playing it even once. But I do "Love" it. (Lame pun attempt, I know ( ... )

I guess you have to be at the right moment at the right time kinda thing. Some bands will surprise you and play something way older.

I know Weezer was suppose to do like a short mini-tour where they played a good set list featuring Blue Album and Pinkerton. Or at least I heard.

Maybe blinks' new tour with their new album coming up will feature that set list you dream so much of. Who knows. I'm not quite sure why they would avoid playing their early singles.

Orrr... maybe it's out of respect for those songs, if you think about it.

That certainly was a different time in their lives. They were all young - w/out familes - w/out crazy hollywood hijinks, and all that jazz. Now its a really different time for them, people get responsibilities, change how they view their world.

Hmm, I don't how I would feel singing a song about having sex with a dog in my early 30s. But that's just me.

Oh and there's no such thing as Death-Industrial-Techno-Country... which is why I'm patent pending it as we speak.
