Shyness and thick skin and other stuff which makes me a dork.

It just doesn't happen around groups of people, but also around relatives and the like.

Also - I hate the way my family members seem to describe me, or rather pick at me; pick what's most glaring to them, like vultures on a meaty carcass. I just don't have the thick skin to ignore it, and for the record - "I don't have a diet problem." I just don't like being fat like the rest of the family. Yeah, yeah - Shakespeare, "Doth protest to much..." yeah I know. Thanks.

It's a good thing I can swallow it all in good fashion, and not explode back with a venomous comeback of sorts. I guess.

Though even if I could, I'd probably regret it BIG time...

Just like Meg Ryan's character in You've Got Mail.

YES I LIKE THAT MOVIE!!! FUCK THE HATERS!!!

For being one of the first of many romantic comedies to come, it's probably one of the best.

Not only does it have Tom Hanks, who I admire as an acting talent, but also David "I'M RICK JAMES BITCH!" Chappelle, Jean Stapleton - also know as Edith Bunker from All in the Family - which is one of my favorite TV sitcoms ever, and of course Greg Kinnear - from Little Miss Sunshine, another awesome film you should see. So that totally out balances Meg Ryan's appearance in the movie, for those who can't stand her. (Though I don't so, I think she pulls a very wonderful performance.)

What I think I just love the most, is the overall cinematic direction of the film. The use of New York City during the holidays and towards the blooming of Spring, at the end of the movie, is just beautifully done. Plus the music that accompanies it is so wonderfully matched. They happen to use a song like Rockin Robin and make it enjoyable. (Though I like that song already - so no biggie there.)

You've Got Mail is also certainly a freeze frame in time when the internet was still in it's infancy. If I'm correct, it was one of the first films to feature the internet, in this case America On Line, and one of it's most basic functions - email. Something today we take for granted, but back in the late 90's, it was a real eye opening experience.

"What is this email? You can do what now? But why not just write a letter by mail, or send a postcard???"

AOL was only a gateway to what was to come. In fact, it's crazy to think how far we've come, with Twitter now being the internet craze.

Yeah, ok stopping myself now thus losing any more of my online creditablity. But check out the film, I've give it my approval. If that means anything.
