My Year in Fandom Strikes Back! (or Another Meme)
1. Your main fandom of the year? Naruto
2. Your favorite film watched this year?For new films? Hmmm... Sherlock Holmes, Star Trek and Princess and the Frog, and Slumdog Millionaire broke my heart. For films watched this year? I adored It Happened One Night
3. Your favorite book read this year? Sharon Shinn's novels, I think. Also, The Magician's Elaphant
4. Your favorite album or song to listen to this year Paolo Nutini's new album, and most things from Glee.
5. Your favorite TV show of the year? Eh, Glee or Legend of the Seeker I suppose, but don't watch much TV.
6. Your favorite LJ community of the year? Erasurethon, I think. People were creative and supportive and thoughtful in both works contributed and comments to one another. I am looking forward to doing more.
7. Your best new fandom discovery of the year? Soul Eater, perhaps, or Alive: The Final Evolution
8. Your biggest fandom disappointment of the year? I'm bummed there is not a bigger fandom for Alive: The Final Evolution especially since it seems to have a lot of what the shouen manga fandoms complain there is a lack of- there is easily followable fights, kickass females who pass the Bechel test, complex characters who are consistently in character and actions have consequences. Plus, it is almost poetically written. What's not to like?
9. Your TV boyfriend of the year? Watson? I don't watch enough TV...
10. Your TV girlfriend of the year? Well, Maka, I guess
11. Your biggest squee moment of the year? Reading my Yuletide story
12. The most missed of your old fandoms? Harry Potter. I did not actively participate in fandom, but I lurked and followed all the art, the stories, meta and even the wank politics.
13. The fandom you haven't tried yet, but want to? Legend of the Seeker maybe...
14. Your biggest fan anticipations for the New Year? Hmmm... probably the ficathons like femgenficathon, erasurethon and Yuletide etc.
