gacked from
redbrunja, who always seems to have cool memes :
May be spoilers for Samuari X movies, Fruits Baskets, and (sorta) Alive- The Final evolution
In your opinion, which is the anime/manga you know that...
...you like the most?
Skip Beat,
...has the best character development?
Fruits Baskets, and Vampire Knights
...has the most original plot?
Alive- The Final Evolution. Mass suicides result in people getting bizarre powers.
Death Note was also pretty different. The premise was interesting enough (someone is given a book that kills people) but the cleverness of Light's plots? Gears within gears, man. Also, he was a good enough writer to have us cheering for a mass murderer.
...has the most imaginative writers?
Skip Beat
...has the biggest Gary Stu among its characters?
Naruto of Naruto. What was with the ALL VILLAGE LUUUUVS YOU! scene about? really I know it was his dream but that was sooo telling us rather than showing.
...has the biggest Mary Sue among its characters?
Boys Over Flowers heroine had NO personality, she just did whatever to move the story onto the next soap-opera plot twist. Plus, everyone just loved her (or hated her because she's poor/with a rich dude. Sailor Moon's pretty bad too. She's just so perfect everyone loves her male, female, the transgendered, animal, mineral (literally), or alien.
...inspired you to draw your first anime fanart?
Nobody would want to see my attempts at art, not even me.
...inspired you to write your first anime fanfic?
Naruto
...has made you laugh more than any other?
Skip Beat for manga and Full Metal Panic Fuffmou for anime. That show is freaking funny!
...has the best filler episodes?
Does Fuffmou (or how ever its spelled) count as filler episodes? Cause I thought they were based on the novelist's side stories? Vampire Knights had pretty rockin' fillers, plus what fillers they had were pretty rare and more filled in missing moments rather than added a story that wasn't there.
...you stopped watching for some time, then started watching again?
I'd watch Inuyasha on and off on Youtube
...is the sequel that should have never been made?
All the episodes after the Kyoto arc in the Rurouni Kenshin anime, the ones that stopped following the manga plot line? Those sucked but even worse was the movie. What the HELL was that Rurouni Kenshin movie about? He leaves to wander again and dies of a weird disease that Kaoru is okay with contracting said disease so she can die too? And the scar fades because "he's forgiven himself." What utter bull crap. That takes away EVERYONE'S character development. The manga ends with him settling down because he understands he can find atonement, and that Tomoe wanted him to be happy. Kaoru has grown enough to not just become an emotional mess that let's her wandering lover go off again,( even if he wanted to). They get a freakin' happy ending, people! HAPPY!
...you're embarrassed to admit you like?
Naruto. And maybe Cardcaptors
...pissed you off when they stopped airing it?
I was really bumped they didn't make any more seasons of Full Metal Panic. The Ending Day by Day, One Man Burning Force, Continuing On My Own, and Approaching the Nick of Time all sound like they would make stellar, stellar anime seasons. Especially after how beuautifully they did "The Second Raid." I wanted to see more of Leonard and more of how the anime team would have tackled the story of the whispered
...made you cry the most?
Hmmm... Fruits Baskets, the manga, had a few moments. Momiji's "No memory is okay to forget" chapter, and Rin's "Even if nothing is left in my hands" moment after she freaking is pushed from a window!
...started out well, then went down?
What the hell Honey and Clover (a manga). How about you resolve something, anything? Anything at all?
...had a mediocre plot but excellent characters?
Naruto's story line has its moments (like the truth behind the Uchiha massacre thing) but these moments are rare and the fight scenes get ridiculous. How many false endings does one need?
...had a good premise but the characters were incredibly obnoxious?
Bleach.
...you watched just because you were "in love" with a character?
Naruto... I read a few fanfics and had to find out what it was about
...hated when they aired fillers?
Rurouni Kenshin. They all get so out of character!
...impressed you just because it existed?
Vampire Knights.
...never could follow up and understand no matter how much you tried?
I don't remember the names.
...every time you watched an episode you had to comment it with your neighbors?
Naruto's chapter updates for the manga.
...is a disgrace for everything animation-related?
Pokemon. Its horrible animation, has nothing relating to a plot or characters and is never-ending. It is still on and it was one when I was, like ten!
You know, I don't watch much anime; I tend to be more of a manga person (hence why most of these are mangas, not animes mentioned), but I have seen more than I realized. To day, anime series I've at least watched some of include_ Rurouni Kenshin, Yu Yu Hakisho (I liked the 70's feeling ending), fushigi yuugi, a few Narutos, Inuyasha, Full Metal Panic, Fruits Basket, Vampire Knights,
