We've just had a guy round looking at our bathroom with a view to ripping it out and starting over. We've decided to go for a "total package" deal where the same firm does all the design and project management and all - there's not much scope for unskilled DIY in a bathroom and I don't fancy trying to co-ordinate umpty dozen tradespeople really. It's pick-a-number-and-double-it stuff though especially as we want to put a toilet where there previously was none so need to do digging and get consents and stuff. I'd kind of like to see what other companies could do but so far this is the only person of the four or so we've attempted to contact who actually seems to answer email and visit clients so he may get the job by default.
We're planning on going up to Auckland for a couple days in early-mid March, mostly to see a t-rex named Sue at the museum. I know there's a fair few people on my friends list who have some local knowledge or our largest city so I'd love some advice about other things we may enjoy while we're there and family-friendly-yet-conveniently-central accomodation.
Also - it's too freaking hot to move and we're all grouchy. Kids could probably use an outing but I wilt by the time get to the letterbox so we'll stay here instead. Crispin has two playdates lined up for next week so it's not like he's got much to complain about.
