My god. It's been weeks since I've said even one word on here. A lot has been going on, there's a lot to talk about, but, some things I'll save for later. I don't miss it here, seeing as there's not much to miss, but here's something to read anyway. Enjoy while you're still paying attention, and not bored. You might be soon.
First, dimebag's death. Needless to say, waking up for work in the morning to hear that someone had killed him on stage was not a pleasant experience. That entire day, and for several days afterward, I basically walked around in a daze; shocked, in denial, but very distraught, and crushed. To an extent, I still am. We all are. We always will be, on some level. He was an inspiration to us all, and a brother in his own regard. One of the greatest guitarists ever known, and one of the kindest, most generous human beings in existance. He will be sadly missed by all, forever. I send my condolences to the Abbott family, especially Vinnie and their father, Jerry. To everyone involved in the shooting, everyone who took a bullet to try to save dime, everyone who had to live through that hell, first-hand. To Phil and Rex, especially Phil, both former members of Pantera. To all fans of Pantera and/or Damageplan, myself included. I am beyond sorry. There is nothing I could say that could improve anything, but, I wish everyone the best. To those who didn't know him, you have no idea what you missed out on, and in that regard, I apologize to you, as well. I love you, dime. Thank you for all the years, and the memories that came along with them. Thank you for all you ever did. I'll miss you.
I have to digress now. I had a pretty decent christmas, though nothing like previous years. We had our christmas dinner 2 days in advance, since it was only day we could get everybody together in one place, for various reasons. This year was just depressing as hell. 2004 may go down as the worst year I've had so far. We'll see.
Elizabeth and I are still friends. She wants to go to school and establish herself in life, and that's cool. Maybe once we're both on the road we want to be on, we'll have a shot? A man can hope, can't he? But I love her dearly, and would do anything in the world for her. We still have fun together, and enjoy each other's company. She's a great woman, inside and out. New year's eve, it's on. Let the smoke blow and the whiskey flow, motherfuckers.
Time to watch some TV. I might write some more later, who knows. For now, see ya!
Fuck the trend
