Just watched the last few minutes of the Germany vs. Argentina match, LOL... Argentina got owned in the penalty shoot out.
Went out yesterday/this morning. I was planning to just take Jeff out cos he's been home all his holidays, and in the morning talked to Teresa on msn, and she said that she had a day off work so I invited her along. LOL, didn't realise she just lived like 5 minutes from burke road. I got the 203 at 12pm, I've forgotten the last time I got a bus... bus driver was cool, liked stopped for running people and was really friendly  Good to see so many smiling faces. Haven't been out during the day for AGES! Well except like for work.
Drove Jeffrey up to school to get stuff from his locker, then to the park with Cibus and Nemo. Mum's car was really dirty inside cos she never uses a towel or blanket when they sit in the car, LOL I'm glad I trained them well. Cibus just leans against the window, and looks out and Nemo tries to do whatever Cibus is doing... must be the younger sibling syndrome.
Dropped the dogs off home, and went to city... OMG! parking is so expensive $15! But yeah, got a new monitor!!! haha, I was looking all Thursday afternoon and found quite a few monitors, I feel bad taking up so much time of sales people... and I ended up getting the monitor at a place that I hadn't visited before >_< I dunno, all of a sudden I decided to get a LCD, LOL... almost impulse... like was talking to Nathaniel and he mentioned how cheap lcd's are, so i checked it out and realised that I could easily afford one. Especially with my recent windfall!!! LOL, I've been complaining/noticing that I've been rather poor despite being single again. It turns out that I've been paying Jeff's laptop repayments via direct debit since March! LOL! Mum's silly, she must have gotten the bank accounts mixed up... but I mean, wth?! like I never signed anything, how the hell could they jsut accept it. Makes you realise why you should NEVER let anyone get your bank account details. Cos, like what happens if it was someone I didn't know, and I had been paying for their laptop and they just up and go! Or a mobile phone contract, and they just up and go with the mobile... they can't track once the simcard's out right?
But yeah, I was gonna get a samsung, cos it seems they have the best after sales support, but ended up getting the viewsonic cos it had a higher spec for slightly less. Seems like that's what everyone says except one place who are really expensive! They recommended the Viewsonic. But yeah, I ended up getting the Viewsonic, cos it was their high end gamer specific lcd, with 3 months dead pixel warranty... as opposed to DOA (dead on arrival) or 2weeks. So yeah... SO BIG!!! From 17" CRT, to 19" LCD. I dunno actually, I'm sure I'll notice a clear difference once I start using heaps of applications, or uni work. Hopefully I won't have any problems. LOL can't wait!!! Nathan's got 2 weeks leave, and we're planning to LAN Mon-Wed next week. We also got Jeff a new set of headphone/mics cos his one died.
He's become rather pro at CS... so lame... but at least he plays for fun and understands the philosophy of you're not having fun if you're opponent's aren't having fun. LOL, all those years of me saying stuff like that has rubbed off. However, lately (well actually since start of uni) I dunno if that's the best mantra for success in life. It's really a harsh world out there and people just take advantage of you... and exploit it... whether this be consciously or not doesn't matter. I just find enjoyment in seeing people having fun and smiling... but sometimes it comes at my expense. I need to learn when to draw the line I think. Like I just do things by gut feeling, by instinct, and it's served me well, but I think if I put more thought into what I do... then I'd be much more 'successful'.
But yeah, oh wait... I forgot!!! before going to city... and the reason for my going out! LOL, so like me to forget... was that I wanted storage boxes for all my uni notes from IKEA. So yeah, BEFORE city we went to IKEA. LOL, I went around in circles for a little while but managed to get some boxes and a new laundry bin... to replace my cardboard one! And ate meatballs!!! SO YUM@!!! the sauce and blueberry jam sauce goes so well!!! I got pics, but yeah too lazy to upload. Maybe later... need to work out how people do that link thing in their lj's. But yeah, meatballs and chips yum. LOL and parking, i think I ended up paying over $30 jsut for parking for the day.
Back to city, went walking around, and like so much stuff is on sale, cameras, food, games.. HAHA, yeah... food was good. Went back to my place, quickly setup my monitor to check for dead pixels and luckily none so far! cleaned the car up a little, the seats were so dirty... like you couldn't tell, but it was clear by looking at the rag that I used to wipe them down. Then headed down to pick Teresa up. She didn't know what she wanted so I decided already. Good ol' Groove Train! Haha, delicious food, great service, cafe atmosphere, decent coffee, really large serves! I'm glad she came along, otherwise it would have been so boring with just Jeff! Stayed there ages, like till 10, then ended up going to see Superman Returns at Jam Factory. OMG everything is SO much more convenient with a car!!! But told mum that I'd be home around 12:30... didn't realise that movie went for liek 2.5 hours! So didn't end up getting Jeff back until aroudn 2:30am, LOL. Yeah, and dad was a little upset. Just the way he is, and I'm glad I moved out. Makes me realise why jeff hides so much, cos like dad's reaction is well... never exactly the most positive or reinforcing. So pity about the bitter end to the night. Hope Jeff won't regret going out... it's like him to think that way. I guess that's probably why he doesn't do anything, cos he think he'll just get critisiced. Poor kid. I'm partly to blame, but how was I supposed to know back then?
so yeah, home... late now, got work... gah, miss out on Dragon Festival in Guild Wars cos workign all weekend -_-''''
