[Filtered away from Anna]

I have a question Mayfield. I know we have to stay in our "assigned housing but we are able to leave at times. Does anyone know what the exact amount of time you are allowed to stay away from your house is?

I would be most appreciative.

[a. In his elementary school classroom, Johan is has a new assignment for you kids. ( Read more... )

[Theo's heading to work, and spots Johan just standing there as he's leaving the house. Looks like Nina was right.]

What do you want.

[Oh hey, person. Have a smile.]

Nothing.

[For you to die would be nice.]

[Looks back to his house, then back to Johan. Having a house stalker is not good for this paranoiac.]

Then is there a reason you're staring at my house?

[Have a confused look and then Johan looks a little embarrassed. To his credit. He's very good at doing this.]

Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't know you lived here. I was trying to figure out if this was my sisters house. It's hard to tell when they all look the same.

Spend the night in your assigned bed every third night. I'm....all to used to this routine, but then I was eventually rehoused to where I was spending more of my time.

That's quite lucky for you.

Thank you very much for the information.

[He smiles with a nod.]

Anna.

[He still think it's a wonder that he can just ...walk up and talk to her. On that note.]

How are you settling in?

You have to stay at home on every third night. I was doing it for a while until just recently.

I see. So every third night then.

Yeah, it's not too bad. All you have to do is be there overnight, so you could even stay wherever else until really late, just go there to sleep, and then leave again in the morning.

Interesting. I wonder why they even give us that much.

[For this assignment, Slugger sighs and writes about the only "family" he's ever known. It can be summarized as something along the lines of "Miss Susan is a schoolteacher. Great-grandfather is Death. Edward is an idiot in green."

The paper is short and lacking in great detail, but it will be clear to Johan who Slugger's "father" is by the end of it. He will hand it in either at the end of class or when it's asked for, then quietly go about his business with eyes lowered and shaded by his cap.]

[Glancing at it as he walks by.]

You don't think very much of Edward.

[Amused smile.]

There isn't much to think of.

I'm sure he would disagree. He seems to be quite sure of himself.

[Stops walking to look down at the boy.]
