100,000 calls in one day.
on saturday, anytime from noon - 9pm there's going to be an event coordinated at obama headquarters at market and guerrero.
we're trying to reach a goal of making 100,000 calls to Californians in one day, which we're hoping will increase turnout in support of obama on the ever-so-crucial primary date of february 5th.
so if anyone wants to come by the office on saturday, basically anytime all day, even for a half hour or something like that, that'd be awesome. making phone calls is really easy and if you really don't want to make phone calls you can help out in other ways or even just stop by the headquarters to check it out.
phone calls basically sound like this:
'hi, my name's robert from the barack obama campaign. i'm calling to let you know about the primary in California happening on the fifth. May I ask who you plan on voting for?' and that's basically it.
if they support obama, your work is basically done. if they're kind of undecided you just ask them what their reservations are about obama, and then try to assure them by saying a few positive things about him (from your point of view, whatever you feel is good about him as a candidate) and maybe end up having a short conversation with them, which is usually kind of fun.
and if they support hillary, you just say 'thanks' and hang up.
California has a pretty big part in deciding the primary election, which is fucking great in my opinion because it's something we've never experienced before. so any help you can offer would make a huge difference. if obama could sweep san francisco, i'd be pretty damn happy. let's not let them underestimate the impact our demographic can have on the election.
call me if you want to stop by and help: (415)645-3767, or send me a message online. thanks dudes.
