New Year's is what I look forward to. Christmas not as much. Mostly because of Wolf's job. We miss out on just about everything until after Christmas.
There is a fellow in my bellydance class who has been driving me to class when Wolf is working. For two weeks we would meet during the day at his home and he would teach me dance lessons when class was cancelled. I finally learned how to do snake arms and started a little on choreography. Last time I was practicing isolating my rib cage movement, so I can eventually do belly rolls. Rachel Brice I am not.
After last practice I needed to go get some Christmas shopping done. Jason took me out to lunch, we went to Jo-Ann's, then some other stores. The next Monday we went to our instructor's house. I gave her a Greek cd. Jason gave her silk. He also gave me raw silk and coins. Now I need to decide what to make out of it. Z. (our instructor) us gift bags. Mine had Ghiradelli and cranberry scented candles.
We didn't have a tree. A week ago Bastian went into the backyard, found the trunk from last year's tree, said it just needed a little love, set it in the tree stand and decorated it. The children would sing, "Oh Christmas stick. Oh Christmas stick. You have no branches."
Christmas morning the children woke up and found a fully decorated tree in the Christmas branch's place. A lot of the morning John and I spent sleeping after the morning rush.
We also drove up to eat appetizers and play a game at John's aunt's house.
This afternoon I got to business and called StorVarr. We talked about a schedule and some of his basic goals. He has an assignment set up for next week. I don't know how this will work next week. I thought I'd call on our scheduled Monday, then remembered it's New Year's. Not sure if Wolf and I will be here on our anniversary or not.
