The Okay So I'm Snowed In Almost Midnight Monday Report

Feb 11, 2008 22:45

Blizzards, tornados, power outs, single figure fahrenheit temperatures and three ricks of logs for the fire. There were a few things no one ever told me about Mid-West USA, the least of which was the preponderance of trucks, rednecks and bible bashing baptists.

Phew. Culture shock? Tell me about it. I come from a place where shops are open 24/7 to a place which is dead on a Sunday (unless you count the churches.)

Still, since slitting my wrists went out with Sid Vicious I give you this little gem, provided the power stays on long enough. Here's Twenty ways to grill the butter...

It's been almost four months since I've posted, apologies for my negligence-something I hope to rectify from now on. The last four months have been a tumble of moving house, hospital stays and a jumble of family based problems. The move is over now, the hospital trips are, for the moment, a thing of the past and family problems, well, family is family. So the writing, aside from a few small peices has been somewhat of a dry well. Still, life is getting better, I'm a brilliant (though baised) writer, and the future holds many a wonderful surprise. So no time to waste, let me introduce you to the best twenty reasons to read the internet.

1. Double D.3 reports - Eighteen reports now grace the Coffeetime Romance pages, and there are still several to archive there when I get a few minutes. Well worth looking at, even if it's only to comment on how much you dislike humor. Hey, even bad publicity is good publicity :) So if you get some free time, pop over for a laugh to www.sjwillingforum.com and take a peek.

2. Alien abductors have been kidnapped! All little green and grey men have been traced to Seldon. Read about them here in a fabulous story by Hutch0

3. Poseidon VII - Print version looming. Comes out on 1st April if the print times haven't changed. I have some free copies to give away too! Give me a yell if you want one, this is a case of first come first served, alas.

4. Schizophrenia--someone to argue with when you're alone.

5. Valencius Covers His Tracks Alas no change.

8. Huw's Entappathe Whorled Lost in the wind!

9. Life's mystery #34. If it's too embarrassing for your mother to know, she always finds out.

10. The local electorate failed to appear at the polls. Apparently live TV discussions between the candidates were to blame. With their known propensity to falsehoods no one could believe they were alive.

11. Terras IV -- Yet another peice of the story, the plot, and the characters, thicken.

20. Quote of the week. My choice early in life was either to be a piano-player in a whorehouse or a politician. And to tell the truth, there's hardly any difference.
Harry S. Truman (circa 1962)

Thanks all for popping by, hope y'all enjoyed my little foray into the weird and wonderful and looking forward to seeing you all around the Interwaves :)

Have a good week!
