Pretty markings on the boy. He may be an armful but when you need a kitty hug, the bigger the better IMHO.
I wanted to tell you about sharing art w. one of the grandnieces. I bought a glass vial pendant from you off etsy and one of the grandnieces was fascinated by it when I wore it to a family gathering. She wanted to open it to see the various pieces inside and I ended up having to take the necklace off to keep her away from it. Then, fast forward to my making her one and using assorted tiny colored beads, gold glitter, and the plastic confetti stuff in different shapes. It was what I had in the studio and she was 4 at the time but she loved it. Abigail wore it every day and then the chain broke from her pulling on it. My niece went to Hobby Lobby for another chain and bought supplies to make more pendants in different colors bc Abigail (not shortened into Abby) wanted to match different outfits w. one color in the pendants.
Abigail's father is the stereotypical Southern Hunter and gun nut and is always buying her camoflage clothing... I know. She loves pink and I've seen her in jeans, a camo shirt, pink shoes, and a pink jacket, carrying a pink purse, and had an armful of pink bead bracelets. His name is Richard but he looks like a Dick to me. >ha! Richard wasn't that pleased w. the pendant making bc it is so girl but he couldn't dissuade Abigail and he had told her she coulnd't wear a pendant when out w. him bc of the color. Then he couldn't not believe she was able to get beads in the various greens and browns and made a pendant for when they go hunting - I just love it. Yes, the Dick takes her dove hunting and takes her to the shooting range. She had her own size of head phone ear protection but I'm still disturbed my niece Lisa allows it esp at her young age. I am somewhat pleased Abigail insists on wearing a pendant w. the camo - probably more so bc it pisses Richard off.
I enourage reading and art w. the grandnieces and grandnephews. Richard does not particularly like me, firstoff bc he hates cats*, but I don't let it bother me bc the feeling is mutual, believe me. Lisa is pregnant w. a son, due in August. I really hate to think of how f*cked up he is going to make a boy bc he's certainly tried to make Abigail a replacement son.
Anyway, in a round about way, your lovely pendant has inspired my grandniece to create her own jewelry. She also strings beads on elastic for bracelets and necklaces and gives them to her family and friends. Her mom limits supplies to plastic beads but Abigail has found a love for creating that I can help foster as she grows older.
*6 cats and a dawg, I've been the family Crazy Cat Lady for most of my life.
