So I was online yesterday and someone IM's me: "guess who?" And I rack my brain for the screen name for about a second and then I realize it's Jenny. I tell you, the past will chase you down eventually.
We talked a little, some of it sweet, some of it sad. I told her that I would be here for her. But it's different now. I had closure, and so I don't feel like I owe her anything. I want to be there for her because I want to be there for her.
Talking to her brought into focus exactly how many blessings I have in my life. I've got a brain that will carry me through school, an awesome family, and better friends than I could ask for.
