My Favorite Vega-Table

I don't know how I'm going to do it, but tomorrow will be the first of twenty-one days of purification. I'll be eating only raw (or minimally steamed) vegetables and fruits for three weeks. And drinking only water or the program's special shake. And supplementing with ~thirty pills a day. It's gonna be hard as hell but Nicole and I are doing it together and we should feel better when it's all over. I ate my last bread and drank my last beer for this month a few hours ago.
In other news, we met with the woman from Kaplan: I think we'll be hosting an international student within a few weeks. So that's exciting and a bit scary, on account of how we'll be pretty responsible for this person and their acclimation to American and our home.
In other other news, last week I gave nine massages, and this week it'll be eight. That's near the tread-water goal of ~ten massages per week. If I can keep adding a client or two a week, and I actually start receiving payments from the various insurance companies that I've billed, we may make it out of this alive. And by alive I mean existing with our home un-foreclosed-upon and a dollar or two left in our savings account.
Speaking of money, somehow someone paid their $500 Comcast bill with Nicole's check card. We saw it pending in our account and called both WaMu and Comcast, and neither of them did or could do anything to stop the money from going through. So we're without $500 in our checking account when we're at our very poorest, and our mortgage payment is yet unmailed while we wait for the bank to return our money to our account. It better happen tomorrow. We've now decided to use a credit card (with rewards points) to pay for everything and then pay that off monthly. Screw debit cards and bank routing numbers and having our money so (apparently) easily stolen. At least if they get our credit card number it isn't our money they're stealing.
Phew. That's the day-to-day. I hope to write something and/or post something of some actual substance in the near future.
