also this is a good article about war. it's from one of my crazy gun-totin' government-hatin' libertarian sites, yes, but you should still read it; it's "fair and balanced" and it's also short. i remember a happier time, when i didn't have to put quote marks around "fair and balanced" and the words still meant something.
also i'm reading e.l. doctorow right now, in between bouts of virginia woolf. i'm a third of the way through loon lake, and i'll read ragtime next. and i'm reading chuck palahniuk's lullaby when packing leaves me too tired to concentrate (i'm moving).
