The night had just begun to lay over the city. April was in the now empty living room of her old apartment, looking around the room to see if anything was missed. There was a pile of boxes near the door and a few more shoved against the wall. The red-head looked expectantly at the door, it was almost seven. Casey and Raph should be here soon

"Mom was right. You don't realize the junk you have till you move." she sighed and pushed the close box away towards the pile by the door. She heard something behind her and turned around, smiling at the red-clad turtle, "Hey Raph, just in time. Casey went to get the van."
She stood up and walked over to the turtle, giving him a quick once over before giving him a hug and showing the small mountain of brown cardboard, "Didn't think I was that much of a pack rat..."

She'd swear she had lost Casey under several feet of books for at least four hours till they'd cleared the living room.

She looked around at the piles of boxes, giving a slightly sheepish grin, "Uhm...wanna get the bigger ones out first? The vans out back so everything should be ok."
Now that the prospect of actually -getting- everything out of the house was closer...it was a little daunting.

April watched in a slight awe, "Been working out big guy?" she asked as she picked up a considerably -less- heavy box. Sure she was training too, but more on her dexterity and speed; not strength >>.
She looked at the box in his arms, "Thats...stuff from my office so...there might be some rocks in there." She lead the way down the dimmed back stairs, the familiar van parked in the alleyway in the back. There were a few boxes all ready in the back.

"Well not so much rocks. Some tablets I found in the shop." she gave a small smile back at him, "My dad had all kinds of weird things." she looked at the box in her arms before setting them in the van.
"When we un-pack you can grab anything you think looks cool. There's some stuff I found for Splinter and Mikey."

Shaking her head she raised an eyebrow at her boyfriend, "Right I can see that." she pushed gently past the two, putting the box she'd been carrying into the back of the van. Turning around she rested her hand on her hip for a moment.
"Well, two down."

Not being able to hold it anymore she laughs and taps them both on the shoulder, "Come on -boys-, and be careful Casey."
The woman could easily sense the earlier mood lifting from Raphel. Which made her own spirits lift.

The red-head stops, looking behind the two men, eyes slowly widening in realization, "Hey! STOP!"
From where April stood she could see a group of about three men raiding the van. Not knowing what else to do she shoved Raph into the shadows and started towards them. The men smirked, not seeing the woman or the scrawny guy as much of a threat.
"Ya say somethin' doll?"
