Interesting Tomato
Last night I had the middle of a play I am to write as a dream, so here it is , the middle of "Interesting Tomato".
Jaime ran through the house, eyes wide and arms outstretched. He ran to Miss Lee and screamed into her shrunken ears, not at the time realizing that she was born almost fully deaf.
“ Hes going to kill me !” Jaime screams
“ Huh? “ replied Miss Lee
Frustrated Jaime stumbles down the steps to the lower living room where a table is set for dinnertime. The table is large and old oak.
“ He wants to kill me !” Jaime shouts to Edward Garn and Sarah Bradly.
“ Oh, I doubt that, I sincerely do. “ Sarah replies
Jaime looks astonished to hear such a flip comment
“ Victor wont kill you…” Sarah continues chuckling
“ He has been chasing me through ..through this house and…he means nothing more but to kill me!” Jaime exclaims
“ Now Victor gets mad sometimes and he says things he doesn’t mean to, he is just channeling that anger to you, Jaime, he is not going to kill you” Sarah replies calmly
“ Victor won’t you come out and say ‘good evening’ to your grandmother ?” Sarah shouts across the room.
Victors grandmother is old but her hair is dyed black, it poofs up and she smiles wide all the time, some might call it insanity.
Victor rushes out with something in his hands slides under the table
[A gunshot goes off]
Everyone rushes to grandmother her head is bleeding, Victor’s little sister comes to grab hold of Victor, Victor bites his little sister, she screams, and the Grandmother is still smiling, she exclaims ‘ Interesting tomato !’
Scene End.
