I DO NOT UNDERSTAND THE FUSS SURROUNDING THESE SMALL DEVICES. SUPPOSEDLY THEY ALLOW ONE TO COMMUNICATE WITH OTHERS WHO OWN A DEVICE. WE SHALL SEE HOW EFFECTIVE THIS IS.

I AM SEARCHING FOR INFORMATION ON BLACK-CLOAKED INDIVIDUALS. THEY SEEM TO POSSESS THE POWER TO TELEPORT, AS WELL AS CONTROL OVER SEVERAL DIFFERENT ELEMENTS. THEY LACK BOTH NAMES AND ( Read more... )

Jolly glad to see you're alright. I too am searching for information on these cloaked persons. I've heard there's a fellow who fancies himself mayor in this place. He may know more than us, so contact with him would be advisable.

Well, there's a mayor and a fellow who fancies himself one. The one you want is the self proclaimed one, a chap by the name of Timon. He's rather vain but he does have useful information.

Thank you kindly. I usually only use that attack when needed, as it has a tendency not to be too selective about its targets.

IT DID SEEM QUITE DANGEROUS. I AM AMAZED THAT ANYBODY WOULD BE ABLE TO SUMMON A METEOR SHOWER SUCH AS THAT. YOU ARE MUCH MORE FORMIDABLE THAN YOU LOOK.

They are...odd individuals. I've met one, though he seemed...oddly uninterested, though he made several interesting remarks about time. They seem...cynical and sarcastic on some level. It seems that they are referred to as 'organization'.

Although the city itself is as odd as the individuals.. I would trust more the small animal who calls himself "moderator" than the actual mayor. The citizen mayor seems more like a lame duck and is more likely to disappear without word. Though it seems that buddying with the citizen mayor, if he is still around here somewhere, could bring about some interesting information on this black-cloaked organization.

THE "ORGANIZATION?" AN ORGANIZATION IS FORMED TO ACCOMPLISH A GOAL OR PURPOSE - I WONDER WHAT THEIRS MIGHT BE. THEIR NUMBER MIGHT ALSO BE QUESTIONED - I SAW AT LEAST THREE CLOAKED FIGURES THIS AFTERNOON, BUT I WOULD ASSUME THEIR NUMBER IS MUCH LARGER THAN THAT.

I HAVE HEARD, BOTH FROM YOU AND FROM OTHERS, THAT THIS "MAYOR" IS INCOMPETENT. I HESITATE TO TRUST ANY PERSON IN A POSITION OF AUTHORITY THAT OBVIOUSLY DOES NOT POSSESS THE SKILLS NECESSARY TO WIELD THE POWER THAT COMES WITH SUCH A POSITION.

For some places in the universe it is more about connections, than about competence in leadership positions, however unfortunate that may be. Apparently this city is no different.

It puzzles me a bit as well, though such transgressions of life are nearly commonplace in my own world. Sibling rivalries have created an existence in which nearly every civilization will have a type of construct with such lacks in some form at least once.

THEIR PURPOSE MAY BE ASSOCIATED WITH THEIR ACTIONS TODAY. I CAN THINK OF NO OTHER REASON FOR ANYBODY TO KIDNAP SEVERAL INNOCENT PEOPLE WITH NO WARNING.

WE CAN ASSUME THERE ARE AT LEAST FOUR: THE THREE THAT ATTACKED MY PARTY THIS AFTERNOON, AND ANOTHER WHO CAN MANIPULATE TIME (ACCORDING TO A YOUNG MAN NAMED LINK).

They are most definitely hostile. Several of them have kidnapped random people - myself included - and are holding those people captive.

The one who took me was capable of stopping time, a sensation I am familiar with. Anyone approaching them should be extremely careful.

ARE YOU CERTAIN THEIR KIDNAPPING VICTIMS WERE CHOSEN AT RANDOM? PERHAPS THERE IS SOME REASON THEY HAVE TAKEN WHO THEY HAVE. THEY TOOK THREE OF MY TRAVELING COMPANIONS TODAY, AND I AM MOST KEEN ON DISCOVERING WHY AND RETRIEVING THEM.

AND WHERE ARE YOU? IF THERE IS A POSSIBILITY OF FINDING YOU, I SHALL DO WHAT I CAN TO FREE BOTH YOU AND ANY OTHERS WHO WERE TAKEN.

THE ONE YOU MET MAY NOT HAVE BEEN ONE OF THE FIGURES I SAW TODAY - ONE SEEMED TO CONTROL WATER, ANOTHER PLANT LIFE, AND THE THIRD'S POWER REMAINS UNKNOWN TO ME. I don't know if they take people at random, in all honesty. Their methods appear to be random, though.

As to my location, if I knew that I would most certainly tell you (and everyone else). The maps on these 'journals' have been disabled, apparently.

I haven't seen anyone like that around here, but . . . I used to know people like that. They didn't wear black cloaks, just black and . . . they had abilities that they shouldn't have and . . . were very hard to kill.
