CHARACTER INFO
Character name: Claire Bennet
Character journal: regeneratesalot
Fandom: Heroes
Point of Canon: After the episode The Butterfly Effect in season 3, when Claire realizes that she can't feel pain and she tries to get hit by a train to feel something. She's so ~misunderstood~.
Tattoo number: 99181
Appearance: yeah she's about ready to cut off her toe
Personality: Claire is very stubborn. When she decides to do something, she does it with all of her heart. Whether it's cheerleading, finding out what she can do (in regards to her ability), or getting back at somebody, she will do it once she puts her mind to it. Schoolwork on the other hand... She's not a complete slacker- in fact, she's actually pretty smart for a cheerleader. Not outstandingly smart, but smart enough. Her grades are Cs/B-s but, considering that she's passing and retains a little bit of the information, she's not stressing too much about it. Recently, though, she hasn't been attending school since saving the world is more important in her eyes.

She used to be bubbly and happy, the first girl to laugh at a joke. That changed back in Texas, and almost came back in California before Noah was shot. She's not sure what to believe anymore and her perfect little average life is a thing of the past- something she'll most likely never experience again. She's still trying to adjust to everything that's going on in her life, keeping a brave face so nobody knows anything is up (but there are people who know/can see it). She's a good little soldier and will keep truckin' on, despite everything that has (and will) happen.

Claire can be dramatic. She's very animated when she's angry and can sometimes blow things completely out of proportion. She also has a tendency to be impulsive and does things without thinking them through, like with what happened with Brody and his car. She holds grudges for forever and has a lot of resentment and anger towards her father, despite her love for him. There are a lot of conflicting emotions with him, honestly.

She's naturally curious and asks questions about things that she wants to know the answer to. She's very blunt about it most of the time, but if it's something she doesn't want out in the open - like her ability - then she'll beat around the bush and make vague implications towards it. More often than not, however, she is very direct, especially in regards to her feelings on a situation. She's not afraid to call people out (even her own grandmother or father) when she doesn't agree with them and will go off on her own (if needed) to get the job done.

For some reason or another, Claire believes that she knows best. While her plans aren't the worst, they definitely aren't the brightest, and she isn't the best liar when put on the spot. She is currently going through the process of figuring out right from wrong, trying to distinguish who to believe in her life, and still going through that awkward teenage phase where nothing ever makes sense, all the while trying to deal with her ability and all the crazy shit that's happened with it.

Because of her resentment and ability to hold a grudge, she can get very intense and violent towards those she does not like. She can be a vicious little teenager, so it's not advised to get on her bad side.
Powers/Abilities: Rapid Cellular Regeneration! She, uh, 'regenerates a lot'. Her cells move at an accelerated pace in her body so her wounds heal faster than normal, her limbs can regrow, and all sorts of fun stuff happens! And, thanks to a wonderful serial killer named Sylar, she can no longer feel pain (when she has her ability). Obviously while she's here the healing will be a little slower and she'll be able to feel really painful injuries (broken bones, amputated limbs, etc).

Journal sample: This has gone on for far too long. [ The feed is simply on audio, the sounds of a river faintly heard in the background. ]

Whoever it is that's keeping us here or brought us here, come out. Stop being a coward and show yourself. You can't do this to us, you can't just drop us in this stupid city and get away with it.

When I find you, I'll make you pay for this. [ Is somebody a little butthurt about being stuck in this city? You bet your sweet ass. Her threats are rather empty - there's not much she could do, honestly - but she means them. She's hoping that others will agree with her. ]
Prose sample: Sitting on the edge of the docks is one young girl, her arms wrapped around herself. She'd been in this place for close to a month now, and it still felt like the first day. She was still finding new things, discovering new places. But she would remain strong.

She was confident that she would get home eventually. She had to keep thinking that way, otherwise- she didn't even want to think about it.

But this place wasn't all that bad. Terrible, yes, and she knew nobody, but she could feel. It was only a little bit, but it was better than feeling nothing at all. That was one of the only good things about Pareidolia. Hell, she couldn't even pronounce the name still. Not that it was on the top of her priorities list.

She sighed, staring out at the water. The residents called her crazy, but she knew what she saw was true. Were they the crazy ones? Was she the crazy one? She felt like it, sometimes. She wanted to run out and scream at everybody, that there was nothing out there, that the buildings did move and these numbers on her arm meant something.

Honestly, she thought it was all just some kind of experimentation/kidnapping thing. It made sense- after all, why else would she be there? Maybe the Company had finally gotten to her, and they were just waiting to break her before they used her.

And if that were the case, there was no way she'd let them win. She wouldn't let them break her. Claire inhaled sharply, standing up and staring back at the buildings.
Anything else: Nope! :)
