So many spider webs... so little content....
Ok... the update bit: Last time I posted I had just gotten back home in April last year. In that span of time I have had many crazy adventures, which I won't endeavor to list more than a fraction of here.
I took a calculus course over the summer, in addition to a PDEng course I had to take, and a 9hr/day job in Tobermory at the Crowsnest. I must say that while it kept me a bit more busy than I would have liked to have had all of that on the go throughout that period, I really enjoyed myself. I was doing very well for myself in a calculus course (which I hadn't done in a while), as well as getting a large amount of time to think (since I was making fries and washing dishes and neither of which requires 100% of my brain power... although I put in enough to easily make some good impressions on how fast I was (which was nice... I like praise for the most part)), I got to work with a covey of flirty waitresses (which is nice as well, despite not having any time to explore that situation further), and I got to hang out with Kenneth and co. a number of times (though never got to finish that 'one-off' adventure that spanned more than 2 games... :P).
Oh... and before I forget: Driving to my calc exam was fun. I left myself an extra hour, and by taking a wrong turn, I used it all up and got to the exam -right- on time. I was cursing Wingham for a while, as that was where I ended up going to before deciding I was definitely headed in the wrong direction.
Then the fall came around, and I got to hang out with all of my friends from school and launch into some of the hardest courses in my program.
Long story short, I had a lot of fun and worked my ass off, but ended up with an average in the 50s, which doesn't translate to passing on to my next term, so it seems likely that I'm going back into 2B come the fall. :s
I started my new co-op job on the 7th of January, and it has been pretty good. I've gotten some real experience here, and have become much more proficient with AutoCAD, as well as getting to take a special training bit for PLCs (which will undoubtedly come in handy later).
Guess where it is located.
Wingham.
Overall a nice place, though it can really be a dead town. (Not that I really know anyone here beyond my co-workers...), I have a nice apartment though, and have spent a lot of time playing through "THE ORANGE BOX", which has been awesome, and while I had the car, I was making somewhat regular trips to Waterloo to hang out and play in a draft a friend put on (which I had also done during the school term, getting roughly 6 people hooked into the game at once... I'm still waiting on my cheque from Wizards... I'll accept payment in card value if necessary). Can't say as I've done well in the drafts, but I have done decently. I quite enjoyed milling people to death while they had more than full life totals...
And now that I think everyone is knowledgified enough to sate the need for more about my endeavors:
I would like to share with you a game that reminds me a bit of portal in a way:
