so i got this email from my bio prof:
"Shannon,
I did not see your lab notebook in lab but I do need it to grade it. Can you put it in the lab?
Thanks, Jeremy"
which i thought was very odd, since i've only ever taken the notebook out of the lab one time, and that was only overnight so i could write up a protocol. i was kinda freaking out, cuz it's irreplacable and a big part of my grade... i wrote him back to tell him just that when i woke up (at 5am, mind you) and said i'd check teh situation out later this morning. so, i just went into the lab... and there's my notebook sitting, where it always sat, on the shelf above my bench. so i took it out and put it in front of his office door. if he misses THAT, he's an even bigger idiot than i thought. i'm kind of really mad, because this implies many things: that he just assumes i'm irresponsible, that he's so inconsiderate as to not even check thoroughly before he accuesses me of negligence, and that his email was pretty rude. and, above all, that i hadn't done anything wrong! i had actually finished up my notebook before anyone in the class as far as updates, etc. this is just angrifying. but i won't discuss it here. so, i wrote him back a very polite email apologizing for the confusion...
...and i didn't call him a cocksucker, though i wanted to.
