Darkness may surround us when we are lonely, but the largest part about being lonely is also the characteristic of loneliness that we never see. Only other people can see this. The doom & gloom is all diagetic, & everybody has the ability to see it, especially the lonely ones. But what the lonely ones don't see, is such an intense energy. It's the equivalent of controlling senility. We practically create loneliness as a dichotomy separating our once fuzed quarks & particles that make up our thought process. Our instinct gets blurred. We forget easily as we latch on to the ever changing solace. At this point, the issue of abandonment, once a diagetic energy, becomes a non-diagetic energy. You are lonely, yet you created loneliness for someone else. Control is the most important stage. It is crucial to know where you've been, but those memories are locked up as where you are going in relation to what you perceive as your past is in the forefront. However, you have no idea where you are going, as there is a warm light shining on you, guiding you. Then a denial stage sets in, you used to be aware, but now you pay no mind. Your energy leads you to a mindless corner, where you shut down, but can function to fill this void from your disintegration. You create beauty, but with reckless abandon.
