gawddamn. i dunno, maybe i'm just really against the schoolin' & whatnot, but i'm not much enjoying this higher education thang. i mean, golly gee willickers; i only have 2 classes & i'm hating it! it should be a breeze; one that you don't even notice. not like, "whoa, that was a big gust!" no, should be a breeze you don't even mention. you don't even go, "man, it's ever so slightly windy out." me? i'm hiding in the cellar cuz this breezy, tornado bastard's blowin' through.
now, don't get me wrong (or i'll kill you), it's not the amount of work or that they're hard classes. they're easy-cheesey &, on paper sound like they were designed with the liam in mind: composition & literature I & intro to modern film. the 1st one, the writing class is alright; i like writing, i have no problem spitting out a few pages every week, teacher's cool, & it doesn't require the hr long bus ride to wcc campus. even the fact that it's like 2.5 hours long of a class isn't all too bad nor is the fact that it's at 6pm to 9, getting me home on mondays at like 10. but, we so often have to write about the most meaningless drivel. & now, the class is gonna be on campus; it might only be this week, i'm not sure, i just have to prepare to be getting home at 11 after a 3 hr class & an hour long busride.
my other class, the film one; it's basically just watching movies. sounds wonderful but when i've hated every movie 'cept 2 of 'em thus far, it sucks. all but those 2 i was into were goddamned hitchcock movies. ... i hate alfred hitchcock so much that i might be bleeding right now. & this wasn't a preconcieved loathing; i hadn't really watched any of his films beforehand, since i live in modern times & that movie is so far from modern that saying "it's not even funny" isn't even funny. now, don't think i'm some young rapscallion that hates anything before his time, i only bring up how old his movies are because the class is intro to MODERN film. i mean, i'm glad we're not trying to dissect the merits of such current screen gems as the dukes of hazard film remake or just about anything with anyone whose name appears more than once on those annoying hollywood tv shows, but still. & again, i don't immediately give the ol' downwardly trajected thumbereenno to anything that's older than i am, as i did enjoy 'on the waterfront' which was the 1st non-hitchcock movie we saw in class. i actually didn't enjoy the 2nd non-crap, i mean non-hitchcock film, 'raging bull' as much as i'd thought i would. i relaly looked forward to seeing it in class (especially with a seemingly endless list of hitchcock garbage ahead of me at the time), but i was disappointed. don't get me wrong, it's good, but i guess i was hoping for more redeeming qualities and less wife beating.
then, my teacher, who i think is a goddamn loon already, identifies with jake lamotta (robert de niro in the movie) smacking his wife (cathy moriarty, who i've actually met, rounding my list of celebs i've met to: 1) around and giving her a good ol' face-punch. i'm sure he (my teacher, whose name i've forgotten & don't care about as i've dubbed him prof. silly goose) doesn't actually beat his wife (if she actually exists), but he was like on the boxer/wife-puncher's side for this one. what a jackass this friggin' teacher is. he said godfather III was his favorite and he's allowed to teach, not just watch or critique films, but TEACH about them?!? jeez. on top of all this, the main piece of work that has to be done is this workbook that has stupid like puzzles & word jumbles and other crap about the movies we've seen, & then we have to write stupid newspaper style stories on the events of the films, & then watch other specified movies like another movie by one of the directors and, of course, another hichcock movie. forgive me should i begin to throw a tantrum anytime soon.
in other stuff, the charity wrasslin' show i was gonna be in was cancelled. i dunno why, i just know it was a money problem. there's 3 groups i plan on blaming:
1) yonkers high school: cuz the show was to be there & i'm sure, being a part of yonkers AND of yonkers public schools, they must've had a hand in screwing up.
2) the marines: cuz i heard they were sponsoring &, now looky here! there's a money problem causing the cancellation of our charitable show! now, the guy who told us that the marines were sponsoring might very well have jumped the gun on that one giving us hopes prematurely, & i blame him for that, but i still give some blame to the marines, just cuz, well, i hate 'em. i have my reasons.
3) toys for tots: they're probably not at fault, but the show was for them. the tots & all. where were the tots for us? hm?
me & erik are startin' up on the next chapter in the dan & paco related films. in other words: kill me.
ever hear of this band, isis? really good. early stuff is like mastodon with a more atmospheric feel, later stuff like tool with a more mastodon feel. in other words: awesome. in other other words: a great mix of progressive, sludge, & doom metal. it's quite tastey. i enjoy it. it's kinda funny; i had a couple of their songs cuz someone on limewire had mislabelled them as the latest tool album, and cuz they were poor quality files, i couldn't tell what the lyrics were to search 'em. ok, it's not so much funny as it is shut-up-and-leave-me-alone,-it's-funny-to-me,-jerkhead.
despite what certain rena's will tell you, the borat movie is hi-larious. search out more borat & sacha baron cohen-related stuff (ali g & moreso bruno the homosexual character) on youtube. it's all incredible.
alright, i'm gonna cease the typing now cuz my eyes are beginning to glaze & i'm severely screwing up my sleepy cycle. liam go byebye, sleepy sleeps in the bed now. ta.
