Zanetoberfest
saturday was Zanetoberfest... this awesome octoberfest party thrown by the host of Three Sheets, Zane Lamprey...
but in order to start that story i must start with the previous night... or maybe even start at thursday...
thursday night frank came over and we got drunk together and watched it's always sunny in philadelphia then kentucky fried movie and some undeclared... it was a fun time, and he went to bed and i played some turtles in time on ps3 online against Rob Pizza (the nickname that Frank has given rob from alfonsos) then slept
friday night i went stayed over kellers house in new brunswick... we watched bruno and drank some beer, very lowkey
okay now saturday... woke up early to catch a 9:58am train to new york city to go to zanetoberfest... jessi was running late but she got to the station just as the train was rolling up... most excellent timing
the club (M2 Lounge) was a few blocks away from penn station so not bad at all... i dressed up in home made leiderhosen. the FLN camera crew came up to me and interviewed me... which was cool, hopefully ill be on tv or some zanetoberfest special. inside the club they handed us a 1 liter dimpled mug with the spaten logo on it... first thing we did was fill up our mugs... spaten oktoberfest!!!
then zane came out on stage and introduced the event... got on line to take pics with him on the "Red carpet"... awesome pics were taken, jessi has them on her camera cuz mine is broken and the lcd doesnt work so its a gamble
zane was cool, but also came off as arrogant... the event ran from noon to five... we were VIP ticket holders so we got access to the vip balcony and all the good stuff... steve mckenna and jim the cop were there. nice oompha band that was kinda repetitive. had the obligatory giant pretzel. zane did a new stand up routine called "beer made easy" that was hilarious. jessi and i eventually went down to the stage for zane's "finale" and we got her a picture with steve mckanna and a bunch of free goodies that they were tossing off the stage. since we were stageside we got a whole bunch of goodies.
after the fest we walked to a bar for some food and a hit the road on the house mango vodka mixed shot... the bartenders reasoning "its tough to mix a mango shot"
the streets were blue with rangers fans... that was our cue to leave NYC ;-D
jessi dropped me off at home and then she went to manayunk and i went to red bank with frank, frank, and sal to meet up with mike matrel, heidi, and her roomies.
went out to a bar after housing some beers. some blur (due to my early drinking) but still a fun time... days where u start drinking around noon are destined to be epic!!!
three sheets mondays continue tm!!! what a great excuse to drink on mondays :-D
somewhere inbetween the entries i went to manayunk again this time for robs bday with matt chin, the franks, jessi, emily, sal, and john rallis... waited in alot of traffic and got to the bar at 1!!! so we crammed a whole lotta drinking into one hour at a bar and we were the life of the bar. then went to pats for some cheese steaks... got home pretty late around 5am!!! and then i had to work the next day... :-(
other than that i really have no true exploits to write about that stand out
