Today we took down all of the Halloween decorations from the porch (we had some tinsel with ghosts on it, several pumpkins, a little ghost windchime, etc.) We replaced it all with silly Thanksgiving/harvest decrations! Now we have golden tinsel with fall leaves and turkeys lol, a scarecrow windchime, a gourd/pumpkin windsock, and a Happy Harvest plaque on the door with little crystals hanging from it. I plan on buying a small scarecrow to stick into our porch plants and a large pumpkin or two too. (Oh, a hay bale would be SO cute to put a pumpkin on!) I LOVE decorating for holidays, especially Fall holidays! It's my favorite season! I also love when the babies go outside and see all of the decorations-they get so excited! Maybe if I get some batteries for my camera i'll post some pictures of our tiny porch decorated for harvest...I always lose pics on my computer unless I post them in my journals!
I'm also starting to plan their Thanksgiving outfits. I have some really cute fabric that has harvest stuff all over it, and a coordinating chocolate brown to go with it, but I think it's only enough to make one child an outfit....hmmm, maybe i'll get to go shopping for more fabric! I haven't been fabric shopping in ages! I used up a few yards on the girls' Halloween costumes, too, so I can justify it by saying ive used some recently LOL! (I'm always told I shouldn't buy more until I use some of what I have. :P)
The kids go off track on Tuesday and they won't return to school until December 4th. I have some goodie recipes I plan on baking with them while they are off track, and the local library is doing soem fun seasonal stuff that I plan on taking them to. Hopefully we will get to have a lot of fun while they are out of school for a bit! :)
