Possible good news. Yes, you read right, GOOD news!
Okay... My father asked me, the other day, if I'd like a different job. I said 'yes'. He's now offering me a reception job at his office in Warrington. Krishna knows how I'll get there other than with Matt or Dad. But if they're both off on the same day (which has happened a few times, I think... maybe...) I may be screwed. On the other hand, this will be a minimum wage job, the first one I've EVER had. Well, I had one at Waterstones, but that was when I was 16, so MW was lower and it was only part time etc... This may mean I'll have enough money for, horror of horrors, driving lessons. Not that I could ever afford a, you know, CAR, but I may be able to get lessons at least.
That's a little unnerving as I have a fear of cars - I'm not much of a fan of being a passenger and wouldn't trust myself with a wheelbarrow, let alone something that has an engine! It'd be a massacre on the roads, for sure! Moreover, anyone who's been travelling with me knows my incredible skill to get lost where no one else would. :\ Thank Buddha for GPS, I suppose.
Anyway, I will update as more details come in. But the job opening isn't until new year, so I should know around Christmas time if I've got it.

My current job is plodding along as it has been for as long as I've had it. Although today included a very bizarre happening...
I walked in at around quater to nine and was greeted by the chef guy who handed me a box with a Father Christmas costume in it.
Me: What's this for?
Him: It's for you. You going to wear it?
Me: What in the name of Merlin's sweaty balls made you think I'd do that?
Him: Just thought it'd be a laugh.
Me: Oh... I see... *does not see at all*
Turns out it was Nicola's idea. Poor girl's known me less than a week and doesn't realise the nuances of my 'eccentricities'. XD
Bow ties; yes. Deerstalker; yes. Fez; double yes. Wizard hat; a million times yes. Santa costume; um, no. But I appreciate that I am recognised as a bit mental. I guess...
