Today was warm and annoying. Too many people. Not enough money. :/
It was busy, lots of people coming in and buying stuff. It got to the point where three of my brothers who happened to be in at the time pitched in to help with the work-load. However, at the end of the day, we only just broke £100. Mostly because people were only buying drinks and cakes, which are cheap. *sigh* My father is deluding himself that this business has any prospects of surviving. I wish it would, then maybe I'd actually get paid minimum wage for the first time in my life. But I just don't think it's going to happen...
So, a shit day, today.
But! Not all was lost. For there was Doctor Who times! :D
The Hungry Earth
Good stuff. Lots of neat lines from the Doctor and I love that Rory gets to be the main companion for a bit... Before being replaced. XD
THE GRAVES ARE EATING PEOPLE!! Yes, thank you Team Moffat for making another normal thing more terrifying.
I did like the build up and the idea of bio-programming the ground so that it EATS PEOPLE!
There were a lot of connotations with Inferno, too. Mega drill to the centre of the earth... No weird lion people, though. Interesting.
The Silurians look neat. AND THEY HAS THE STRING VEST OF THE C-DEVILS!!! XD
There does seem to be a Silurian story template;
- Strange things are happening in the ground / sea
- misc character is taken / killed by Silurians
- The Doctor works out what they are
- The Doctor goes underground to negotiate a pace with the Silurians
- Stupid Humans mess it up
- Brink of war
- The Doctor makes peace with one or more Silurians
- EPIC SHOW DOWN
- The Doctor wins, though is emo about the death of the Silurians / C-Devils
We'll see how much of this pays off in part two, but so far... Looking close. :p
The next episode, Cold Blood, looks epic! Cannot wait! :)
The Doctor hasn't said Geronimo for a while...
Anyway... Must do something to stave off the sun. Anyone fancy helping to push the axis of the earth slightly?
Oh, and by the way, everyone...
Which lead to...
Basically, Creepy!Tom is everywhere!!
