Dave Grohl and Modern art

That little working icon is a damn dirty lie. I'm "working" on my papers.

So yesterday after class I went into London with Katie to see the photography exhibit in Camden Town, London. It was sponsored by Sony and it had pictures of Dave Grohl, Foo Fighters, Nirvana, Iggy Pop, Billy Idol, David Bowie, Sex Pistols, The Ramones, The Clash, Bono and tons of other people. So basically, it was heaven. After that we wandered around Camden and went into the original Doc Martens store which was pretty cool because pretty much every band has bought Docs there. Yes, I'm a nerd. Then Katie wanted to find the crazy Bong/Pot/Hemp area but we got lost and ate pasties instead.

Then we headed to the Tate Modern where we saw the giant sugarcube exhibit. It wasn't really sugarcubes, but considering my mind doesn't operate on an artist level, I felt I needed to dumb down the exhibit to my own personal standards. We wandered around some more until we realized we suck at appreciating art and left. We went to Piccadilly because Katie had never been there. We found the theater with Guys and Dolls in it and manhandled the giant Ewan poster. Then we went and stared at the huge Harry Potter sign, flipped off the people inside the TRL UK studio, and took pictures of Colin Firth's hand prints. We went back to Victoria and ate pizza rather than look up train times. Eventually we made it back to Brighton. It was a grand excursion indeed.

The Wheats arrive tomorrow. DEATH. I'm so exicted I could soil myself. BUT I WON'T. Why not? Because there aren't many things in my life that I can control, but bodily functions is something I can. My that was profound.

Oh yes, my mom sent me a letter and put a Harry Potter poster that came with the newspaper in it. My mom is ridiculous in all sorts of ways.
