So long, Farewell
This morning everybody left to go home. It was sad. There was crying and lots of suitcases. We all helped Katie take her stuff to the train, and Valerie's stuff to the bus, and waited for Emily's aunt to come. I got about 3 hours of sleep because I was up until about 3 and I woke up at 6 to say goodbye to Laura. It was so sad to see everyone go. The night before we watched "Love Actually" which is more fun once you've lived here for 3 months. There were a lot more references that made sense. Huzzah! But watching the scenes of people arriving at Heathrow and having their families meet them there made me sad. Everyone was like "That'll be us tomorrow!" and I yelled "I don't get to see my family for another 2 weeks!" DEATH. But when I do it will be loud and obscene and in the middle of Piccadilly Circus and I can't wait.
Tomorrow I'm leaving for Scotland until the 14th. That's when I undergo the most absurd plan to get to Madrid to meet up with Nathan, Mike and Erin. And when I say absurd I mean having a 20 minute weepfest on the phone to my sister because I was convinced that the entire plan was not going to work. But Marisa told me it would work and eventually I stopped having multiple nervous breakdowns at once.
So I guess technically my study abroad experience is done. It's very weird. It seems like it went by really fast but also it feels like I've been here forever. I'll be really sad to leave England because I love it here. But I'm really excited to see my friends and family again. And that my friends, is the cop-out answer of the century! I can guarantee you though, that is not what I put down on my study abroad student evaluation form. Oh man Lynn Gaylord. You just wait.
I think that might be it. I'm off to Scotland, France, Spain and Italy. If I don't make it back, I leave Jeb the microwayne, Hannah my hobo gloves, Coyle all my Red Sox shirts and my hat signed by TROT, Kate and Bryan the shadow, and Marisa, you get pretty much everything else.
