Today, I got in trouble for doing things the correct way, even though it was the wrong way to do it. That is to say, there was a test procedure that said the test should be done one way and I thought it might be good to do it a way that would give reliable data. (This was last week.) Well, when I got back today and there was a big to-do, because the way I had proposed wasn't the same as the way it was written. And so, Boeing dug their heels in and so we STILL HAVEN'T RUN THE TEST! As a result, Goodrich management turned and looked at me and asked why I didn't point this out weeks ago. Right, like I can find every problem in the 1000 pages of crap the moment they give it to me. Besides the fact that what I did, I didn't intentionally screw with the procedure. I just did it the correct way, not realizing that they'd called out the wrong way. I mean, who calls out that sort of thing?
