Let's see, where to start.
School has been interesting this first month. I've met a lot of new cool people and have been chilling with them. Soccer takes a lot of time...
Soccer is all right I guess. As fun as it is, two hours every day of the week is a little time consuming. I have it especially hard because I'm a "swinger" baby, yeah! (That means I play both JV and Varsity... and I guess I'm good enough to start in both and play entire games, making me extremely tired the next day.) Mark, the coach, is demanding and though I'd like to take maybe one or two days off to rest, he won't have it. Bleh...
I'm taking English 11/History 11 with Mr. Oldani. He's a cool guy and I'd probably place him higher than Mr. Palma, based on all the stories I've heard. I don't like the essays and papers in that class though; he expects a lot out of those. Since I'm taking honors in there, I also have to read the none-to-exciting "Nickel & Dimed." I'll give you one reason why I don't necessarily enjoy this book: it consists of four chapters total, each ranging within 60 to 100 pages each.
Chemistry is perhaps on of my favorite classes. Wechter is an awesome teacher and the labs we're doing are pretty exciting. For those of you who haven't had Chem. 11, when you get there you blow things up! Oh, and watch out Freshmen, Max is going to take Chem. 9 next term. (I wasn't at Riverdale for Freshman year and did not take Chemistry at Lakeridge.)
Spanish 4/5... what a class... There is so much to do in the short time I have each night left after all my other homework. We have already written (or tried to write) one 3 to 4 page essay about one complicated story and one complicated movie. And now, I'm having to write another essay about another story and another movie. And there is one or maybe two grammar lessons per week, but loads of talking which helps a ton.
Choir. Not much I can say: we sing. I'm going to play piano for two concert songs and Chris Langler will play another two songs for the concert.
Other than soccer and school, there isn't much I really do. Both of those take up so much time that when they are all done, I crawl into my bed and fall asleep. But let's see now, what else have I done this first month of school...?
I went to Jenny Parker's birthday party. Pizza then a movie ("Wimbledon"). That was so much fun. Those of you who were there know what I'm talking about, hehe. Too bad Nichole is leaving though...
Exactly one week afterwards, I went to Matt Ventura's birthday party which was ironically at the exact same pizza place (Pizza Caboose) and then bowling. I bowled in my sunglasses, which was interesting because the blacklights were on.
