On
tormentedartist's recommendation, I set up a
deviantart account. Thanks, tormented (by the way, I couldn't find you on there -- can you shoot me a link?). Man, what a huge site. Some really inspiring stuff, though. It makes me want to start coloring Project Waldo, is what it does.
I set up a
new portfolio site, as well. It's got some stuff I did for my last couple of projects at Gas Powered Games, plus some older stuff. Going through my old work always makes me wince a little. But it's nice to know you're still improving, right?
There's a kind of color that I really love, but I don't know how to describe it. The color of things just before a thunderstorm, maybe? Sort of greenish? Or the greens in Amelie, maybe? And I like greys that aren't really greys -- like, they're just right on the edge between being grey and being pink or cobalt green.
Once I was riding the subway in Seoul and went through a whole train station that was the color I'm talking about. I could never remember where it was, though, so I only ever saw it once. So yeah. That color.
