Roy Disney, RIP
Roy Disney, the nephew of Walt Disney and board member of The Walt Disney Company, who twice lead stockholder revolts that arguably saved the company on both occasions, has lost his battle with stomach cancer at age 79.
He also ran Disney Animation Studios in the era that created The Little Mermaid, Aladdin, The Lion King, Fantasia 2000, and Beauty and the Beast. That's one hell of a run.
He will be missed.
