This past week has been absolutely nerve-wracking and exciting for a multitude of reasons. The show is hitting its stride because the end is in sight. Don’t get me wrong, I love the show, but moving on to different projects would be a good thing.

I’m still completely taken aback and surprised that I actually won the Tony Award for Best Performance ( Read more... )

I'm positive that you deserved that award. I have to admit I didn't watch you in a musical, but you probably deserved it anyway. *nods and grins*

Pizza, cold six-pack, and a girl you're quite fond of. That sounds like a good life.

Ms Cruz, I believe it is to my benefit that people agree with you about my deserving to win that award. Thank you. I'm still flummoxed about it.

I think that happiness is rationed out. There is no way that you can be 100% fun all the time, but I do think you have moments where there is absolutely nothing in the world than can offer anything better than what you already have.

Mr. Jackman, the formality is not necessary. The name is Penelope. Use it. Calling me Ms. Cruz makes me feel like I'm my mother, or my sister. I've always been just Penelope, Pene, or even Pe. Next thing you know people will be calling me "P."

*smiles* You are most welcome.

And those moments are what we live for. What goes in-between is just the sour. Without those sours, life wouldn't be as sweet.

Penelope it is, then. You know, this could lead into one of those discussions where someone could proclaim that there is no good without evil and all that. We should do it just to see how many people we can annoy.

I think I've developed an appreciation for the sweet as well as the sour. All in all, I don't think I'm doing too badly. What about yourself?

Count me in. I'm always up for these discussions.

I think I've come to respect both the sweet and sour, because I've been taught that without all the sours the sweet wouldn't be as sweet (one of the perks of being in Vanilla Sky, you hear that line too many times, it becomes a sort of dogma.) I restrict my complaints and try to see the good things in everything. After all, they say every dark cloud has a silver lining.

I think you're doing marvelously.

You know, I've never seen Vanilla Sky. I really should remedy that soon, shouldn't I?

As for complaining, admit it: sometimes complaining can be a lot of fun especially when people are at a loss with how to deal with you. I don't pull that stunt very often, but when I do? Look out.

It's not a requirement, but everybody I worked with in the film was amazing. Tom, Cameron, Kurt, Jason. They were all brilliant. I'd watch it just to watch them.

You're right. The once in a blue moon that I let go and complain my heart out, I really get vicious. I guess that's what you get when you bottle it all up. If ever you decide to complain, give me 12 hours warning. I'll need to find a hole to crawl into.
