Happy New Year and some resolutions

Hello, F-list
I love you guys and I want to wish you a Happy 2008, with pleasant days and calm waters.

Since it's that time of year, I'm going to list my resolutions below so you can help keep me honest. Apparently if you've announced your resolutions, it makes them easier to keep because other people know where you've set your sights.

1) I want to be fit. So I'm going to work out four times per week - that stepper and exercise bike that I rarely use? My Taebo and Dancehoop DVDs? My Strictly Come Dancing Workout? Time to dust them off. Four times per week. I can do that.

2) I want to lose weight. Right now I'm 13 stone 12 and I think for my height (5 foot 8) I should be about 10 stone. So no more crisps and sugary snacks and rubbish.

3) I want to feel secure. That's a big thing for me - I need to feel like I am safe and capable. So this year, I am going to take courses in Communication, Maths, History and either a language or Business Admin as at present I have no qualifications. I'm going to save £2000 to my flexible saver. I'm going to take a car maintenance course, swot up on DIY since I'm repair-girl now. I'm going to get Save and Invest by Alvin Hall from the library, and take a martial arts course and get one of those survival / use your own resource books.

4) I want to improve my writing so I'm going to take a creative writing course, either at night or online. I'm going to write more, try to improve.

That's it. Just four. Keep me honest, guys, huh. xx
