Pubs Pubs and more Pubs!

So last night we walked down into town for dinner and drinks. We had a very traditional Irish dinner of hapmburgers and then headed of to our first of 2 pubs that we hit that evening.

The pubs were a blast, loads of Guinness and Irish Whiskey. It was a very long and drunken night. I am pretty sure that Shaker and I had a talk where we pretty much solved all of the worlds problems, but I can't remember much of it.

Oh yeah, forgot my camera last night, I wont make that mistake again.

This morning was a little rough, my head was less than pleased at my exploits the night before, but after a traditional Irish Fry for breakfast and no fewer than 2 naps I was talked back out with Ellens brother Jack and her uncle Dan.

We went to a town down the way called Listowel, I was told that this town has more pubs per capita then any other in Ireland. I believe it. Jack and I hit three of them while Dan took care of some business in town.

I learned why Guinness is better in Ireland, it's not necessarily because the beer itself is any different, but the way it's poured. It takes about 5 minutes to get a guinness in here, it's more than worth the wait. Guinness also sends out quality assurance teams to all of the pubs to make sure that the lines are clean and that the beer is being served at the correct temperature. Yes, there are people that make sure the beer you are being served is up to standards, I *really* like it here.

I am not sure what the plan for tonite is, I suspect it will most likely involve several pubs. There are 2 beers that I am looking to have tonite, one is Murphy's, it's supposed to be better than Guinness, the other is Kilkenny's Irish Red, imagine a red Guinness.

Cheers!
