washing clothes in scotland.

i'm currently sitting in edinburgh with chelsey washing clothes in a dinky little washateria (sp?) place. it's crappy and i didn't know how to use the machines. but at least i will have pseudo clean clothes for a little while.

we were on a bus all day long yesterday. the only good news is that i saw nessie with my own eyes. so at least i have that, right? haha. we roamed around loch ness and then went to the "nessie shop" - i bought postcards and my friend jamie bought a huge nessie hat that drapes down her back with dinosaur spikes that are in plaid. it's pretty sweet.

we arrived at our fourth hotel of the trip and began exploring the town. i like edinburgh more than i liked dublin thus far. even though, i had an extreme night life in dublin, the sights and smells of scotland have been more pleasing.

we found this place called the tron. the food was cheap and the beer was decent priced. we drank there until the pub closed and then proceeded to dance down the streets singing the soundtrack to "grease" - we've made an awesome impression upon the city. although, there was an elderly couple behind us who requested we sing "dancing queen" - and we obliged. it was hilarious.

i am having a lot of fun with my little posse of friends. the group as a whole, we all get along and we all make fun of brandon non-stop, the poor boy is going to hate women by the end of the trip, but regardless i like everyone has a whole. but we do split up into our little groups and talk smack about others. i just think it's funny because the first week no one was saying anything, but now... there is all kinds of gossip.

we can't say anything without bringing up "rugby night" or the fact that brandon and "sloppy chelsea" (because there are 3 chelsey-chelsea-etc. on the trip) the fact that they slept together the first night and other hilarious antics that have already happened. e.b. and and i had our hearts broken in dublin, etc. - it's just funny. all these things in a matter of a week. i honestly don't know what's going to happen by the end of the month.

tonight we're headed to a "city of the dead" scary tour haunted castle underground something. haha. i'm probably going to cry. it should be awesome. edinburgh is creepy, but i like it.

i'm pretty content right now. we stole a knife from the kitchen and bought bread and peanut butter. we decided to eat this so we can afford to buy drinks. pathetic? maybe. logical? i think so.

i'm going to be weird coming back home and not being able to walk up to the pub and order a drink. my poor self for being so damn young.

the workload of school is piling up. it's a little disheartening. oh well, i'll get it done at some point. today we were split into groups and pretend that we were PR firms and do a campaign for the Isle of Skye. my group won. i was pretty excited.

i decided i am chopping my hair off the last day in paris. get ready, anne. :)

i feel different already. is that weird? it probably is. it's been a little over a week and i already feel like a completely different person. i've been traveling around by myself basically. i'm not always with the group and considering i smoke, i walk around and explore by myself. or when i met random people like when i wandered the streets with jed for hours in dublin. it's just weird. everything feels so different. i'm meeting a million more people and a million types of people and it's just... it's amazing to see the variety of people in this world and the little bits and pieces i can learn from each one. i adore this.

i've got the travel bug. i want to go everywhere and see everything now.
