Tomorrow I'm leaving bright and early (7am) to go to my sister's house for a weekend of family fun! 7am you say, on a Saturday?!?! I'm actually not that bothered by it. I'm starting to like getting up early and starting the day right (yes, even on the weekends - though I tend to sleep in a bit later than that!). Oh no, does that mean I'm getting old?? hehe
It'll be fun, I get to watch my neice's second skating lesson and then we're off to have a girls afternoon of shopping (for dresses for my sister's wedding). Just us girls: Tara, Mom and my neice, Taylor (who's very, very excited that her auntie's coming for a visit). And probably equally as excited about the disgusting lunch we're likely to have at Wendy's or alike. When kids are in tow, the options for food are limited to places with toys in the meal. Maybe they'll have some good toys...I like toys too!
It used to be a family tradition: Girls afternoon of shopping. That was until I passed out in the mall one lovely saturday afternoon which put the fear of God in my mother as she chased the ambulance to the hospital. After that, shopping didn't happen and girls afternoons out were few and far between.
Don't get me wrong, I'm still the same Amanda, I still HATE shopping. But it's a chance to have a nice afternoon with family and hopefully get my Mom a dress so we only have to do it once!
Mike just called, half in the bag...he's hilarious! Trying to drag me out drinking, while his friends scream in the background how much they love me and how hot I am and how they've got some "pipes" for me! LOL. Flatering, I suppose, but not from the likes of Mike's Frat-boy friends!
