And yep, Changmin's mom married an Admiral. Which is interesting, considering that on his mother's side, Changmin had ties with the old regime, but on his father's, he was firmly pushed into the new one.
The two sides have no names because they aren't sides, really. The coup went by without hitch, the Imperial Guard is still called the Imperial Guard (which is a little ironic, if you think about it, considering they overthrew the Emperor they were supposed to be guarding). That being said, like with any good monarchy, the Emperor had a family, followers, etc. Either they've been killed or they've scattered after the fall of the old regime. Which is the case remains to be seen.
