When lives move palely in contrast to the shadows
That darken ev'ry moment, pressing, a soft threat
Of portent, of todays without tomorrows, so
We go on, laughter and tears, the barest motions.
Hate and madness, distant looming, that can strike down
At any moment, so the cold mist of danger
Clouds joy and hope, as ink swirls in clear water.
Ever-closer the danger, ever-more the fear
Of lives marred by death, of smiles that are tight with pain
But in the end, with faith, with courage, and the
Efforts, united, of those willing to face it
The terror ends, and the world shines anew again.
