I find myself on the internet a lot lately doing nothing. I feel like it is more than usual, but perhaps it isn't. I feel as though I am without purpose in my browsing though. I've read all the completed ss/hg out there, yet I find myself checking a couple times a day for more completed stories. I check cnn a couple times, I spend waaaaay too much time looking at photo albums on stalkerbook, and browse craigslist for hours. All of this random browsing has led me to challenge myself and read an actual book instead, which I have been doing, but I still feel like wasting time on the internet.
Schoolwork you say? Paper due on the 30th on a topic of which I know not? pfff Finals in three weeks. HAHA!
OK, I read Lady of the Forest earlier by Jennifer Roberson. I'd read it in middle school or sometime when I was reading Nora Roberts and saw it on the shelf next to her at the library. It's a really good story - a version of Robin Hood. I'll probably read the sequel next - Lady of Sherwood. ZOMG! Then I was reading about Robin Hood on wikipedia and came across an article that says that the University of Nottingham offers a masters program with a Robin Hood course of study. TALK ABOUT AWESOME! Too bad I don't have a history undergrad. :-( Seriously, this would be the coolest thing ever! How cool would it be to be able to say "Yes, I have a masters in Robin Hood studies".
My roommate has been playing Wii Carnival the entire time I've been browsing the internet and reading the book. She is obsessed w/ this game right now, and I think it is the lamest game b/c it's based on luck, not skill. But it is amusing to watch her.
All of my browsing has told me a few interesting things in the last couple of hours though: Diana Gabaldon is having an Outlander graphic novel(!) and her 7th book, probably coming out sometime in 2009 is no longer the last scheduled Jamie/Claire book!!!
