I wanted something that wasn't mine, not then, not ever. Loneliness was such a familiar and constant friend back then.  Fear took over me; made me push this key deeper down my throat.  I didn't know I could feel so far away from the people right next to me.  Then finally, it came out of the bag and into trusted hands, and I was so relieved.  My advice to myself and to you: whenever you're lonely, never keep it to yourself.
