Spreading a Little Cheer
Well, that was certainly not the way I planned my first week here to go. I always thought the Daily Prophet and Ministry of Magic offices were interesting.
At any rate, due to the...circumstances of my arrival I have failed to write in this until now. For those of you who I have not had the pleasure of meeting I am Professor Maes Hughes and I'll be in charge of Wizarding Journalism and Publications. It's a little late in the year but these things happen.
Also, I know a lot of people, especially my new colleagues, are having a tough time. So, I've been hard at work making duplicates and finally worked out the spell that will guarantee to put a smile on your face.
[Suddenly, as you are reading this, a small photograph pops into existence between the pages. It is of a small, light-haired girl (approx. 3 years old) with a bright smile riding a toy broom, it's enchanted so of course the picture is moving.]
Isn't she precious?
