i just want to make a change

[Road's little prophecy did, pretty much, hold true in the end, once the illusion wore off and the mark faded.  Allen certainly felt as if maybe it would best if he just quietly passed away somewhere.  It would make his life infinitely easier, really.  Or maybe he could just officially renounce human contact altogether and become a hermit somewhere in the dark bowels of the Dressing Room. He doesn't really need anyone anyway, right?  He'd make a fine hermit.

Ha ha!  No. That would be cowardly. And he refuses to be a coward. He refuses to sit around and sulk about this. This is something he has to face head-on. He's always had such a nasty habit of talking big and never fully following through. But not this time!]

[Because he had hurt people.  He was the only one responsible for his actions, Kanda's illusion or not, and he had to make an effort to set things right... ish.  Somehow.  Ugh.  And he's looking slightly worse for wear himself-- like it's been a while since he's slept decently, and like maybe a few of those people he encountered had decided to fight back; face bruised, his wrist bandaged, back sore, one elbow and knee hurt like hell but he's ignoring it; he'd definitely deserved everything.  And he fully expects to be hit again for showing his face. Or otherwise berated, hated, and heckled.  It's cool, he can take it.]

[So, armed only with a bag slung over his shoulder, Allen sets off to go hunt down the people he had been entirely convinced were evil, murderous Noah a few days ago.]
