I was kind of looking around on lj and found your post. I think the people there were exceptionally mean--You know, I've been watching Dr. Who on and off since the Tom Baker days (I still remember the regeneration scene and Tom Baker complaining his nose was too big, LOL), and I'd never heard of the Theta nickname.

I may be wrong, but I find wendymr to be very unfriendly, and downright rude. She left a criticism of my own story which had some good points, only to leave off with "So these few little details were a bit distracting. However, apart from that this is well-written and I'll read on for now... " It was the 'I'll read on for now...' quip that left me colder than an arctic breeze. I've had several people look over what she wrote, and all of them agree with me in that she is being condescending. It's possible I got her on a bad couple of days, I don't know. I don't know the woman from Adam. What I *do* know is that I got the distinct impression she wanted to be a know-all, and it grated on my nerves. Not to mention being told I'm not British enough, which is quite a shock to my present address o.O''

Needless to say, I won't be posting any new fics on there anytime soon. Not a friendly bunch, unfortunately :(
