quiltalong
Julia and I have joined fe2H2O s mother and daughter quiltalong. I started off wildly confused, and now feel wildly enthused. catundra generously gave me a cutting and sewing tutorial, so we are ok for the first steps. We have purchased mat, cutter, rulers and material. Julia wanted a blue/green theme, and she was drawn to brights, so this is the material we have purchased. catundra pointed out that the materials were great but the colours were all close together and suggested using another colour to get contrast and pop. Using my newly acquired mad colour skilz I went off to the fabric shop. There I worked out that I could achieve contrast using white as a colour. So that is where we are at with the quilt. We await the delivery of a quarter inch sewing machine foot and then off we go. Wheee!
