On Monday and Tuesday I had job interviews, each for a council job. Monday was a trip to Hamilton for a job interview at South Lanarkshire's offices; then on Tuesday I went to Renton for a job at one of West Dunbartonshire's schools. Both job interviews went OK and I should hear back by the end of the week if either is a positive.
Alas, I rather ruined the moment by losing my phone on the way back from the second one. I was too busy thinking about the job interview, it seems: I had it on the train then didn't have it when I reached the supermarket. Unfortunately I've been unable to recover it, which is especially annoying since I only had it for two months.]
On the bright side, O2 were very good to me despite me being a total wally. They sent out a replacement SIM card and replacement phone which I got within 24 hours of requesting them. The new phone cost me hardly anything: £37, which is pretty minimal. Definitely impressed with this service.
Anything else exciting happened lately? Well, I went along to
Insane Championship Wrestling at the start of the month, which was enormous fun. The
Grado/Red Lightning match was something special - even the more long-term fans hadn't seen anything quite like that in terms of fan reaction. Emma had wanted to come but was unable to make it in the end, buttn Saturday we were round at her flat for her birthday party - where we stayed far later than we planned on and many loud tunes were played.
Emma gave the girliest reaction I've ever seen from her when Ailsa and I gave her our present... one of the new
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Classic Collection figures. Emma was a huge Turtles fan as a kid and getting a pretty new Leonardo figure seemed to be the highlight of the party. Apart from my sexy little ass being there, obviously... :-)
