I hate linear progression of time
I watched it again when I was more awake. My conclusion is that the more Oofuri I have, the more I want.
For example - Not until after the seventh volume came out did it occur to me in my deepened desperation to look for the chapters I missed on-line. And now my third viewing of the intro episode has produced the following reactions:
a. I think the opening and ending are growing on me
b. I want to see Suyama v. protein animated.
c. I want to see the Ren-Ren bit animated.
d. I want live action Oofuri.
e. If Mihashi built a sand castle it would be the cutest sand castle ever.
etc.
These are not terribly different to my original reactions. So it seems again that I spent most of the episode thinking about things that weren't in the episode - typical, but not conducive to any real commentary. It's pretty faithful to the manga, I suppose, and Abe gets stars in his eyes for the perfect length of time to hit ctrl+left arrow and replay it, preferably a few times (therefore providing a fine background to contemplate their future relationship and which of them gets it less).
Next episode - Will they show Momoe's part-time job? The bus scene with Tajima's ooh-naughty not-for-girl-manager's-ears talk? How red will everyone's (I say everyone...) permablushes go with all the hand-holding and honest admiration? What does Hatake sound like!? Argh. Days away.
For no reason (other than boundless enthusiasm), I've uploaded the chapters which follow the end of vol. 7. 38 and 40 are missing because, though I pretty much downloaded everything that came up, I didn't make any extra effort to seek out chapters for which I already had issues of Afternoon.
