AAHH THE PAIN

Well, these past few days have definitely been interesting. Thursday was me and the clone's senior small gruop reunion for church, and it was just awesome seeing everyone again. We had a bbq and food was delicious and we played a game of Cranium which was fun too. To end the night, we had some nice conversations around the hot tub, in which none of us were in our bathing suits and only dipped our feet in.

Friday started off okay until my left ear started hurting a lot. It turns out I got an ear infection, with consistent sharp pains and throbs, where it hurts when I'm still or especially when I move my jaw. So eating and talking was a pain. But anyhow, Saturday I felt a little better, so I was able to work all day at work. Melanie was so kind enough to stop by the restaurant just to say hi before she left for Yosemite, which yes, is right after her two month stay in China. She definitely lives an exciting life.

And then comes Sunday. The worst of the worst. Well, Ivan, the busy boy I've been covering for has returned from his vacationing back in China, so I'm basically out of a job now. But it was nice to be able to go back to church again. But what was to come makes me the saddest ever =(

It was around 4:30 pm and I decided to cook my mom some food because she wasn't feeling well and hadn't eaten lunch yet. So I take out the salted fish she laid out and placed it on the chopping board. I then take out the cleaver and take several chops, and all od the sudden, BAM! I look down to see that I've cut a chunk of my finger off O_O.

Yeah, it was one of the scariest moments of my life. I took quite a bit of my nail off and some of my finger tip. So my clone and mom rushed me to the hospital. Argh, that was a pain. I hate going there because you always have to wait, and I think I scared the little kids with my bloody towel. I surprisingly was able to hold the pain and didn't like cry or anything like that. It only stared to become unbearable when the doctor took the temporary bandage off me and started fiddling with my finger and looking through my flesh. UGH THAT HURT SO MUCH. Finally he was like, "h, do you need a shot to knock that pain right out? I can do that for ya." I was like dear God YES. So I got shot in the finger, in which wow, was excruciating too, but finally relieving. Yeah, I'm able to type right now only because my finger is still numb, and the anesthesia lasts about 5-6 hours. I think it's wearing off so I'd better take some Tylenol. I'm just scared of the pain during when I change the bandages every 24 hours >__<. Argh. To top it all off, the doctor even gave me a tetanus shot. ARGH. Well the shot didn't hurt at all actually, but now my arm's all soar. They said it'll be soar for about 3-4 days. BLAH. My poor left side! =(

Sorry if I grossed anyone out. I'm just sad that my finger's gonna look deformed. I'm gonna be the scary old woman that lives alone in some scary monster house that all the kids talk about and try to mess with because I got a chunk of my finger missing. WAHHH.

Hope everyone's doing well and that your summer's going well.
